artist statement

'I remember as a child, creeping up to the ancient barn and peering through the gaps in the door, I could see the dark mass of his great body and hear his cavernous breathing. I lay my hands on the rough wood and wait for him to come close...thus my fascination began.......my solicitude, my respect.'

Mankind has often viewed the bull as a symbol of strength, something that when, overpowered and devoured, confers it’s strength upon it’s self-perceived conqueror. I paint the might and the majesty of the bull as he is naturally.... at ease and at peace.

All Limited edition prints are on quality Hahnemuhle German etching art paper, signed and numbered by the artist.
